ADDING CLASSIFICATIONS

Once you have passed the exam and obtained your contractors license you may want to contract to do other trades. In order to do this you must apply for an additional classification (see Classifications). This is a great deal easier than obtaining an original license since you do not have to take the law exam again. You will only need to attend class for 1 day, and the fee to add the classification and take the exam is only $50. The school is only $175 since you do not have to take the law exam again ($225 if you did not get your first license through License Instruction Schools). Maintaining additional classifications costs virtually nothing. You do not have to get another bond, and your bi-annual renewal fee doesn't go up at all.
